Brand Photographer  Tunbridge Wells

Spotlight on….Terry Associate Consultants

I was called in to capture brand imagery for Dave from Terry Associates, when he was in the process of building a strong, professional online presence for his consultancy business. Specialising in independent transport and logistics advice for UK SMEs running commercial vehicle fleets, he needed a bank of images that would clearly communicate expertise, trust and approachability.

As with many consultancy businesses, the challenge wasn’t a lack of knowledge or credibility – it was how to visually represent that in a way that felt engaging, consistent and on-brand.

The Brief

Terry needed a versatile set of brand images to support a new website, with a particular focus on accompanying a large number of blog posts. The images had to feel professional and authoritative, while still being approachable and easy to connect with.

There was also a clear need for consistency. His branding already incorporated strong green tones, so it was important that the photography aligned visually and reinforced that identity across everything from his website to his wider marketing.

The Challenge

Terry’s own office space wasn’t suitable for a shoot, so we hired a room at Tunbridge Wells Town Hall for a couple of hours. While practical, it was a fairly plain and neutral environment, which can often feel a little flat in photographs.

The key challenges were threefold: how to make a simple space feel visually interesting, how to convey authority and expertise in a way that felt natural rather than staged, and how to create enough variety within a short session to support ongoing content needs.

The Solution

Preparation played a big part in bringing everything together. Terry sourced a number of thoughtful, on-brand props ahead of the shoot. Given his work in transport and logistics, a set of toy trucks added a subtle, creative nod to his industry – and worked brilliantly in the final images.

We also leaned into his brand colours. Terry wore a green tie and brought along a green notebook and post-it notes, helping to create a cohesive visual thread throughout the gallery.

To introduce a more natural, lifestyle feel, we brought in two ‘clients’ – Terry’s wife and a friend – which allowed us to capture authentic interactions and conversational moments. These are particularly valuable for website use, especially alongside blog content.

On the day, we worked carefully with the space, repositioning furniture, incorporating props and making good use of the available (and surprisingly effective) artificial plants to add depth and interest.

By varying angles, compositions and setups, we created a wide range of images within a short timeframe – giving Terry a strong, flexible library of visuals that feel aligned with his brand and which will support his business as it grows.

The end result is a thoughtful, professional set of images that not only reflect Terry’s expertise, but also give him the tools to show up consistently and confidently across his website and marketing. It’s a great reminder that with the right planning, even the simplest of spaces can work incredibly well for a brand shoot.
