Feeling Festive Yet?
Christmas Jumper Day is a lovely, annual event which encourages us to raise much needed funds for charity. This year, it falls on Thursday 8th December.
Held each year since 2012, we are encouraged to wear Christmas Jumpers at home, at your workplace, school or out with friends and make a donation to charity.
Where to source Christmas Jumpers in 2022?
1. Festive Threads
This year, one of the best places to visit to find Christmas Jumpers AND raise vital funds for charity, is the Festive Threads rail at Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge Wells, in aid of RefugEase. Pick up one of the pre-loved Christmas Jumpers for a minimum donation of £5 and know you are helping a vital cause.
If you have Christmas Jumpers lying about at home, unloved and unworn, please consider donating them. You can find the Festive Threads Gifting Shop in the customer services unit in RVP between Next and M&S.
2. Local Charity Shops
Tunbridge Wells had always been an excellent hub for Charity Shops supporting all sorts of local and national charities. Staffed by dedicated volunteers, these shops raise vital funds selling good condition, pre-loved clothes, books, shoes and more. They are a treasure trove of wonderful finds and at this time of year a BRILLIANT way to find sparkly, retro or possibly, highly sought after, second hand christmas jumpers. You may have to have a really good dig around, but it is such a reward when you find something.
3. Swap With Friends
I’ve picked up a handful of Christmas Jumpers over the last few years. They are a mixture of proper sparkly ones to which I treated myself, novelty jumpers that I just couldn’t resist and cute supermarket numbers that ‘fell into the trolley’!
If you’re the same, but you would love a different look this year, why not organise a Christmas Jumpers ‘swap shop’ with friends. Everyone can bring along their pre-loved jumpers, enjoy a glass of wine, swap their jumpers and donate at the same time. 👍🏻
So, there you have it. The best ways to find Christmas Jumpers ahead of Thursday 8th December. I’d love to see any pictures of you and your family in your christmas jumpers – do post them below! 😃
