Feeling Festive Yet?

Christmas Jumper Day is a lovely, annual  event which encourages us to raise much needed funds for charity.  This year, it falls on Thursday 11th December.

Held each year since 2012, we are encouraged to wear Christmas Jumpers at home, at your workplace, school or out with friends and make a donation to Save The Children.

Where to source Christmas Jumpers in 2025?

1.  Local Charity Shops

Tunbridge Wells had always been an excellent hub for Charity Shops supporting all sorts of local and national charities.  Staffed by dedicated volunteers, these shops raise vital funds selling good condition, pre-loved clothes, books, shoes and more.  They are a treasure trove of wonderful finds and at this time of year a BRILLIANT way to find sparkly, retro or possibly, highly sought after, second hand christmas jumper.  The Hospice In The Weald shop on Goods Station Road has an excellent selection in 2025.

2.  Swap With Friends

I’ve picked up a handful of Christmas Jumpers over the last few years.  They are a mixture of proper sparkly ones to which I treated myself, novelty jumpers that I just couldn’t resist and cute supermarket numbers that ‘fell into the trolley’!

If you’re the same, but you would love a different look this year, why not organise a Christmas Jumpers ‘swap shop’ with friends.  Everyone can bring along their pre-loved jumpers, enjoy a glass of wine, swap their jumpers and donate at the same time.  👍🏻

3.  British Christmas Jumpers

I came across this company online and was impressed that they offered UK made, recycled yarn Christmas Jumpers.

The range isn’t extensive, but I find that means it’s easier to choose!

Go check them out here…

So, there you have it!  The most sustainable ways to get a Christmas Jumper ahead of this year’s Christmas Jumper day on  Thursday 11th December.
